Previous version built OK because everything was commented out - oops!

Small hacks to fix up latex2html problem

add names and a title page -- does not break the web build, at least on
  my laptop

 o after 4+hrs of fighting, Baylor's discussion of the nonlinear
   viscosity syntax now works with the latex2html translator
   - people should pay very close attention to LaTeX macros that *they*
     create, particularly the {}-protection of the macro arguments and
     possible name collisions
   - putting too much junk in one equation or eqnarray may look sexy
     in a PDF format but it can be murder for latex2html

 o add Baylor's nonlinear viscosity docs and his bibliography

Add usepackage rotating to handle rotation of some figures

Playing around with page widths

try agu bib-style (give author names & year instead of just a number)

Fix build problem on mac - lates hope it still builds elsewhere

Change name of part 7

Commented out a usepackage statement that was upsetting latex2e on FC4.
pdf still looks OK, but maybe this breaks things elsewhere.

accidentally revealed private parts

updated input/data, more proofreading

 o shrink to \documentclass[10pt]{book} from [12pt]

 o create "PRIVATE" sections within the manual
   - see manual.tex for the two lines to edit to switch between
       the private and non-private versions
   - example of private section is FIZHI in part6/part6.tex
 o remove the protex stuff -- its now in MITgcm/doc/api_reference

 o add model uses section

o cleaned up LaTeX functions, removed spurious space generators

o more additions to exch2, plus some LaTeX functions to facilitate
  standardization

 o cleanup formatting and fix errors in exch2

 o updates to the "packages" discussion
 o more mnc documentation

Added hthtml to manual

 o more changes to genmake2 in part3
 o trial of the "epsfig" package

Added some definitions for latex in the prologue

Two improvements:
  - the manual build now works on a "dirty" (post-verification-runs)
    source tree
  - various small fixes to the manual (mostly Y. Hu's comments)

Small cleanups so that the following docs-build process now works on
RH 8 & 9 systems (fails on RH 6.x, not tested on 7.x):

  cvs co  manual MITgcm mitgcm.org
  mkdir scratch
  cd mitgcm.org/devel/buildweb  &&  make All
  mv scratch/dev_docs /PATH/TO/WWW/

Added part8 !!!

Revised part 5.

Adding bibtex initialisations and "include".

Added "showlabels" to help do cross-referencing. Unfortunately, AMSmath
breaks it...

Added another level of section numbers (not in TOC)
Added Parts for fun. I'm sure it'll be vetoed.

Commented out some packages since they were added white space
all over and note putting page breaks in some places...

Importing model documentation into CVS

Initial revision
